In the spring of 2021 Michael was asked to license several pieces of music to the Artechouse gallery in New York City for a show by "Julius Horsthuis". Julius is a fractal artist based in Amsterdam. During the installation Julius asked Michael to score his next project "Beyond Chaos" for Experimenta in Heilbronn, Germany.

This is the largest dome in Europe with 3D projection and a 30.2 immersive sound system.
The project began in the fall of 2021 and continued into the spring of 2024 with multiple trips to Europe for on site mixing. It will open in October 2024. After the 3D dome project for Experimenta, Julius asked Michael to score the opening movement for his 3D fractal album for VR headsets and planetarium domes, "Recombination".

Members of New Mexico Control Voltage - a collective of electronic music performers in New Mexico and beyond - staged an “ambient sound bath” in Gallery 4 from 5 to 7 PM. Michael and Chris set up in two different locations in the gallery and played overlapping sets of electronically generated sound environments, field recordings, and aural ghosts, summoning ephemeral imagery amongst the greatest works of art on display.
In the auditorium, legendary electronic musician and film composer Michael Stearns along with special guest Chris Meyer’s Alias Zone performed a pair of melodic, cinematic sound journeys - in quadraphonic sound! Michael is perhaps best known for his scores to Ron Fricke’s non-verbal global film masterpieces Chronos, Baraka and Samsara, as well as soundtracks to Universal’s “Back To The Future, The Ride” and Paramount’s “Star Trek, The Experience.”
